(Mystic, CT, USA), Opening in late June, the Misfit Club bar and brewery - is set to shake up the scene in downtown Mystic. Local owners and dual US/UK nationals Timothy and George are creating a new watering hole that celebrates diversity and self-expression.

 

“We want to offer a place that showcases outstanding local beers and where everyone feels welcome,” said Timothy. The club aims to attract a diverse crowd, from thrill seekers, artists, military folks, university students, the LGBTQ+ community, to world travelers and everyone in between. 

 

Located in a cozy basement venue at Factory Square on 12 Water Street, the Misfit Club draws inspiration from the London Underground. The decor will combine a rebellious spirit with the comfort of a whiskey lounge. 

 

The bar will offer its own microbrews and a selection of award-winning beers and ciders. Also available will be a full array of liqueurs and spirits from New England’s finest distilleries. “We want to keep it simple but with a mark of distinction,” said George.

 

The Misfit Club will feature progressive music, including electronic dance and today’s popular hits. The bar’s calendar includes weekly activities such as Misfit Mondays, team trivia, darts, artist-hosted events, and sports viewing parties featuring international sports like English rugby and the World Cup finals. “We are committed to keeping things lively and engaging,” Timothy added.
